EMBODIED ABSTRACTIONS

     I use spatial ambiguity and objects whose provenance is mysterious, though evidently organic, to provide a sense of complexity and metaphor in this body of work.  I hope to cause viewers to question the process of understanding the world through seeing, by providing them with concretely rendered images, which are yet difficult to interpret.  I hope to induce in viewers a sense of seeing freshly and with pleasure, as a painter does in the act of painting.
